Bandwidth or Monthly Traffic

Bandwidth is the amount of data that you're allowed to transfer per month. It includes all uploads and downloads regardless of the protocol used such as web pages, file transfer, and email. This will depend on:

• the average page size,
• the number of visitors,
• and the average number of pages they visit.

Calculate this by multiplying your average page size with the number of expected page views per month. If the average page size is 40K and you expect 25,000 page views per month, you will need 0.04MB x 25,000 = 1.0GB of monthly traffic.

This is where our entry level hosting plan starts! Furthermore, factor in that 25,000 visitors per month is only a dream for most websites. Most don't even have 2,000 visitors each month.

• A small or medium web site will consume between 1GB and 5GB of data transfer per month.

Larger, enterprise or e-commerce sites often consume more than 100GB of monthly traffic.
